Patrick studied Literature at Freie Universität Berlin and the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He lived in Venezuela for three years where he worked as a cultural journalist while discovering his passion for documentary filmmaking as a production assistant on productions including GEO 360°.

He later joined Kobalt Documentary, where he worked on the editorial team behind ARTE Re:. Since 2025, he has been working as a freelance filmmaker, combining human-centred storytelling with a strong interest in politics and society.
